Nathan Borlee acquired his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University.  He then attended Northern Michigan University’s social work graduate program (with a clinical emphasis) obtaining his Master’s Degree in April 2024.  He completed an internship at St. John’s Ministries where he worked with Green Bay’s homeless population as a program room manager and intake coordinator.  Nathan also completed an internship at Lakeview Psychological Associates where he worked with individuals of varying ages, sexualities, and mental health diagnoses.  He is currently the Member Care Coordinator at Painting Pathways Clubhouse, a mental health resource center and a Therapist at Lakeview Psychological Associates.  Nathan’s work has given him experience with complex mental health conditions including trauma, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and depressive disorders.  He also has experience working with individuals of the LGBTQI+ population.

Nathan is a U.S Army combat veteran having deployed to Iraq.  He saw first-hand how difficult it can be to find effective treatment.  He is passionate about helping others and strives to provide excellent clinical care.  He has both personal (service-connected) and professional experience in working through the symptoms of PTSD.  He has a strong interest in the connection of nutrition and mental health as well as utilizing an Internal Family Systems (IFS) model in therapy, which views the mind as a multiplicity.  He is currently pursuing continuing education and certification in both areas.
